Color Contact Lenses - Get New Eye Color!

I love color contacts lenses. I've tried many colors from different brands. And one thing I discovered, that while some colored contacts make my eyes very attractive, others looked fake or simply horrible. I learned the rules of choosing the best color lens for your eyes after a lot of trial-and-error.

Let's start by recognizing that color contact lenses come in two types: opaque lenses, and enhanced color contacts. Enhancements lenses can change the hue of your eyes, making them look brighter or more sparkling. They are suitable for those with blue, green or grey eyes. These lenses are partially transparent which makes them look very natural.

Opaque lenses, on the other hand can dramatically change the appearance of your eyes. These lenses are not transparent and are suitable for those with dark eyes. Opaque color contacts are required if you have a brown eye and want to see sky blue. People with dark eyes can choose to wear one or both of these lenses depending on what effect they desire.

Color contacts for subtle change

The best contacts for blue-colored eyes are aqua or green. Some may wonder why someone with blue eyes would choose colored lenses. Blue enhancement lenses can make a big difference to your appearance. While your eyes may still be blue, your eyes appear brighter. My own blue eyes are mine and I love to wear blue tinted contacts. My favorite Acuvue 2 colors is Ocean Blue.

Naturally grey eyes can also be helped by using blue tints. Although the color is not as intense as over-blue eyes, it appears more like a blue-grey. However, it looks natural and appealing. Acuvue 2 colors or Freshlook Dimensions are good choices.

Green contacts are great over blue eyes. It is easy to notice the difference when jade green is mixed into your natural color.

Freshlook Radiance color contacts can be used to make your eyes sparkle. My favorite color is Eden (for blue or grey eyes). You can see the difference between sunrise and autumn colors with hazel lens town eyes.

Contact lenses in color for dramatic change

To change the color of brown eyes dramatically you will need opaque lenses. Acuvue2 colors opaque, Freshlook colorblends, or Illusions at Ciba Vision are the best options.

Freshlook Colorblends Sapphire, or Amethyst, are the best colors to match dark eyes and hair. It will be dramatic and no one will notice the difference.

If you have blue or grey eyes, but want to change your color to something completely different, go for honey color contacts. These lenses will make you appear more warm. You can further enhance the effect by wearing natural colors with a warm lipstick.

Color contact lens safety

If you already wear contact lenses to improve your eye sight, you know how to put them in and how to care for them properly. If you only want cosmetic color contacts, ask your doctor about wearing them safely.

The most important rule is that contact lenses with color can block more oxygen than clear prescription lenses. Actually, the color portion doesn't allow oxygen through. For your eyes' health, you should not wear your color lenses more than 6-8 hours each day. Also, you shouldn't sleep in your color lenses.

Treat yourself to a pair of color contact lenses. Gorgeous, sparkling eyes are the best way to enhance a woman's appearance. And it is a great fun to wear different color lenses from time to time, so they are excellent for people who like to change their look.
